Our Stage Ready class is designed to help young performers build their skills and confidence as they take the next step in their musical theater journey. Students will be cast in a revue-style show, giving them the opportunity to shine as soloists and leading characters while strengthening their acting, singing, and dancing skills. Their hard work will culminate in a stage performance on May 1st, where they’ll have the chance to showcase everything they’ve learned! Along the way, they’ll gain valuable stage experience and develop the confidence they need to audition for our summer production of The SpongeBob Musical!

Ready, Set, Shine! is designed for the tiniest of stars who love to sing, dance, and act! This semester, young performers will experience the magic of musical theater from start to finish. They’ll learn how to audition, be cast in a production, and take the stage in our musical, Tweeting Tales!
Perfectly suited for our youngest performers, Tweeting Tales follows a lively flock of jungle birds as they gather for a storytelling festival. Through songs, dances, and imaginative tales, these feathered friends share their stories and discover meaningful lessons along the way.
We can’t wait to introduce your little star to the wonderful world of musical theater, build their confidence, and watch them shine on stage!

Without sets, costumes, and lighting, there would be no show! At West Valley Arts, our goal is to train the next generation of theater designers and introduce students to the exciting world of technical theater.
Intro to Design takes students behind the scenes and into the mind of a designer. Students will learn how to develop a creative concept, research historical time periods, and bring their ideas to life through hands-on design projects. Along the way, they’ll explore new ways of thinking, discover their creativity, and watch their visions come to life!
The class will focus on costumes, set design, and hair and makeup. Students will also have the opportunity to learn from some of West Valley Arts’ very best designers.
Discover the magic behind the scenes and see what it takes to bring a show to life!
